Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain all inspection tooling and equipment. Ensure equipment is calibrated.
Perform in-process, and final inspections per prescribed instructions to determine conformance to requirements.
Report to Quality Engineer upon identification of suspect nonconforming or nonconforming material. Record inspection results on appropriate forms and input data into applicable ERP/software.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings/prints, specifications, and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and an organized work environment.
Identify and communicate continuous improvement activities with supervisor.
Support and complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.
Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.
Job Requirements:
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident required (sponsorship will not be provided for this position).
High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Engineering, or Engineering (Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is preferred).
Must have strong math, computer, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be detail-oriented, reliable and be a positive member of the quality team.
Proficient with MS Office suite, good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong computer skills.
Must have knowledge and experience in the use of basic hand tools.
Prior experience reading blueprints is required.
Inspection experience using calipers, depth gage, and height gage is required.
Inspection experience using a CMM is preferred, but not required.
Strong mechanical aptitude desired.
Knowledge and experience in GD&T concepts are a plus.
