JOB DESCRIPTION FIELD

 The Raleigh office requires an Intern Architect that will have an Architectural degree from an accredited university and be on a professional track to obtain their professional license in Architecture. Approximately 3-5 years’ experience is required.

 MOST OF THE THINGS YOU’LL WORK ON:

• Working with senior staff to develop working drawings and to develop designs.
• Develops preliminary drawings from rough sketches, prepares construction drawings, details and schedules using information supplied by more senior staff members
• Creative design development of an assigned specific portion of the design program
• Resolve issues within the project scope and escalate all others to ensure project objectives are met
• Communicate as required with office or site staff, and associated consultants, in order to complete project(s)
• Administer and maintain project files and drawings as required
• Assist with preparation of appropriate design and working drawings using IT software
• Other responsibilities - as determined on an individual project basis

Qualifications

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

• Strong working knowledge of BIM/Revit and MicroStation is preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, In-Design, and Photoshop, Illustrator
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper would be a plus
• Good communication skills (interpersonal and written) with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
