IBI is currently looking for CAD Technologist to join our Raleigh, NC office.  The CAD Technologist role will develop construction drawing for projects across our offices.

 MOST OF THE THINGS YOU’LL WORK ON:

• Perform various Building Information Models (BIM) tasks such as producing, reviewing and managing project drawings and documentations
• Perform and checking models ensuring that they meet IBI Group and project standards and they meet the project’s BIM Goals.
• Produce lighting, power, auxiliary, and fire alarm drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial project.
• Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and champion fulfillment of the plan throughout the project’s lifecycle.
• Be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of the models

Qualifications

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

• 8 years of experience in Revit design
• 3 years’ experience with MEP design
• 2 years expertise with Revit electrical design
• Familiarity with interoperability between Revit and other disciplines-specific software programs, demonstrating awareness of the differences between BIM for Building and Plant.
• Experience with lighting, power, auxiliary systems (data, access control, security, CCTC) fire alarm
• Good communication skills for team-based working environment and for teaching others about best practices in BIM
• Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
• Ability to interact with external entities (clients, owners, agencies) to interpret and understand desired BIM or CAD delivery requirements.
