Company Description We are a global architecture, engineering, planning, and technology firm defining the cities of tomorrow.

By connecting design and technology, we change how people experience their built environment. We work across disciplines to create the intelligent systems, sustainable buildings, and efficient infrastructure that shapes the way people live, move, learn, and heal.

With over 3,000 employees and 60+ offices around the world, we understand what it takes to work locally and scale globally.

At IBI, we’re defining the cities of tomorrow.

From data analytics and production development, straight through the turnkey system delivery, we guide clients from the discovery phase to implementation. Increasingly, we are also partnering with them on operations and maintenance of the assets we design. This commonly includes the design of IT, security and smart building systems, as well as large-scale revenue collection, traffic control, GPS/GIS, and wireless communication systems.

In San Francisco, we support the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in designing and implementing the next-generation Clipper® fare payment system. We also work closely with our IBI colleagues in offices across the West Coast and beyond on transit and transportation technology projects across North America.

    • Oversee vendor implementation activities and review vendor submittals, verifying and validating conformance with contractual requirements.

    • Prepare project deliverables such as technical memos, reports, presentations, and engineering cost estimates.

    • Coordinate and track project activities, managing task schedules and staffing.

    • Support business development activities, including identification of opportunities, outreach to clients, and preparation of proposals.

    • Coordinate with clients and other staff, offices, and design disciplines.

    • Learn about new and emerging transit and transportation technologies.

    • Work with diverse teams across the country.

    • Be supported with training, networking, and sharing your skills with others.

    Qualifications YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

    • Experience with (or interest in) fare collection systems, payment systems, customer service solutions, transit operations management solutions, or other similar technologies.

    • Experience with (or interest in) emerging mobility technologies as they pertain to public transportation.

    • Experience with task/project coordination and working with project stakeholders.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, City Planning, Urban Planning, Human-Centered Design, or a related field, and at least two years of professional experience.
