Job Description

We are seeking a talented designer and Architectural Proposal Specialist to produce world class design proposals that reflect our Firm's reputation of Technology-driven design. You will join a Regional Design Team and work closely with our Buildings Practice Principals to develop winning design and proposals across Market Sectors. You will be an integral part of the creation and delivery of our high caliber proposal content – design and graphics, that continue to enhance our brand and assist IBI in winning work. The role would involve working to tight and often multiple proposals at the same time. Your role would include “shadowing” the Director of our Buildings on the East Coast of the US, and producing content under the leadership’s direction.

You will be required to work with our Marketing Team to conceptualize/integrate graphical responses into the proposal initiatives.

MOST OF THE THINGS YOU’LL WORK ON:

• Develops preliminary drawings from rough sketches, drawings, and details using information supplied by more senior staff members
• Creative design development of an assigned specific portion of the design program.
• Assists with the development of graphics and presentations to support business development efforts.
• Resolve issues within the project scope and escalate all others to ensure project objectives are met
• Communicate as required with office or site staff, and all associated consultants, in order to complete project(s)
• Administer and maintain all project files and drawings as required
• Other responsibilities - as determined on an individual project basis
• Assists in general office support tasks as required

Qualifications

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE: 

• 1-3 years of experience working in an Architectural practice after completion of degree
• Accredited degree in Architecture
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, In-Design, and Photoshop, Illustrator,
• Strong working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper (would be an additional bonus)
• Working knowledge of BIM/Revit preferred.
• Good communication skills (interpersonal and written) with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
• Working towards Architecture license
