    JOB POSTING Account Representative Division: Government Services Salary Level: $14.06/hr + Commission Eligible Location: Poughkeepsie, New York Contact: icrjobs1@icrcollect.com Position Description Transitional position pending federal clearance. While employees await clearance they will work in our Non Federal Division. Upon gaining clearance rate of pay increases to $14.45 with $4.54 H&W allowance. Located in Poughkeepsie, Immediate Credit Recovery is seeking motivated individuals in the Hudson Valley area. We have many job opportunities but are currently hiring entry level debt collection representatives. Candidates selected will be challenged to motivate consumers and negotiate repayment arrangements via phone. The ideal candidate possesses at least one (1) year of call center and/or customer service experience. Essential Functions Tasks and Responsibilities - Comply with all specified FDCPA, state, and city regulations as outlined in FDCPA training - Request form letters to send to consumers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts - Contact consumers by phone to determine basis of overdue payment - Responsible for gathering full and complete information on all contacts and consumers - Set up payment arrangements with consumers - Continuously meet departmental and personal collection goals - Gather full and complete information on consumers and accurately document all collection activity in the collection system database - Review documented correspondence on assigned accounts - Per line of business and where applicable, forward accounts where consumers fail to make payment to review for possible Administrative Wage Garnishment or Litigation, where authorized - Maintain accountability for all calls assigned - Independently solve consumer issues escalating to supervisor any situation outside the employees control that could adversely impact collection activities - Ensure that calls are handled in strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards, as well as any federal laws and regulations - Establish professional relationships with internal/external consumers - Provide customer service that exceeds consumer expectations - Treat all internal/external consumers and team members with dignity/respect - Escalate work flow and communication issues to supervisor - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with team members and department contacts. - Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks - Escalate work flow and communication issues to supervisor Nonessential Functions Tasks and Responsibilities - Perform other related duties as assigned - Reporting Relationships - Supervisor: As Assigned Subordinate(s): None Success Factors/Job Competencies - Fundamental knowledge of collection practices and standards - Understand and carry out oral and written instructions - Problem resolution skills - Attention to detail - Proper telephone etiquette - Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment - Principles and practices of customer service - Departmental policies and procedures - Good oral and written communication skills Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma or its Equivalent - Ability to successfully complete and pass the FDCPA - Ability to successfully complete and pass the Telephone Techniques Test - Six months of collection or customer service experience preferred - Basic Knowledge of MS Word and Excel - Clean background for Security Clearance check. - Ability to obtain security clearance to work on systems. - Must not have any defaulted student loans. - Must have reliable transportation - Ability to pass a Drug Screening Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
