ICU Registered Nurse – Nebraska

About the Role:
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients. You’ll collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver safe, high-quality care in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospital policies. Your leadership, judgment, and clinical skills will ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families.
What You’ll Do:
Perform thorough assessments of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of ICU patients
Develop and implement individualized care plans with input from patients, families, and the care team
Administer medications and treatments in alignment with physician orders and protocols
Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly
Document assessments, care provided, and patient progress accurately and promptly
Delegate tasks appropriately while supervising other nursing staff
Educate patients and families about care, recovery, and discharge plans
Support a culture of safety, compassion, and professional development
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current and valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state license
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
ICU or critical care experience preferred (new grads with strong interest in ICU will be considered)
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
Fast-paced ICU setting with high acuity patients
Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and patients in distress
Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to react quickly in emergencies
