DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking full-time Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU team on the day shift.

Work with Criticalists 7 days/week in a VECCS Level 1 hospital to provide advanced treatments like continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), total plasma exchange (TPE), Hi-Flo oxygen therapy, critical care ventilation and more.
Whether your credential is a CVT , LVT , or RVT we know you worked hard for your education and are excited to use it to support patients with top quality medicine. As part of the DoveLewis ICU team you will support high-acuity hospitalized patients, manage advanced cases under the supervision of board-certified Criticalists, and collaboratively provide interventions and treatments to patients across a wide range of specialties.

- Advancing your emergency and critical care skills while working alongside a highly skilled team, including Certified Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS).
- VTS pathway support for credentialed technicians seeking to specialize, with mentorship from experienced VTS team members.
- Managing and assisting with advanced critical care treatments like CRRT, TPE, Hi-Flo oxygen therapy, and critical care ventilator management under the supervision of board-certified Criticalists.
- Collaborating across multiple specialties, including ECC, Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Exotics, Hospice, Pain Management, Urgent Care, and Diagnostic Imaging.
Wage: This position qualifies for +15% overnight and +10-15% weekend differential pay on applicable shifts.  
- $32-$36 hourly for Certified Veterinary Technicians (or other license type that is transferable to Oregon)
- $38-$44 hourly for Veterinary Technician Specialists
Schedule: This is a full-time day shift position
Technicians in ECC work 3/4 rotating schedules with 10 hours shifts. This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy so you can play and rest just as hard as you work.

What are we looking for in a candidate?
- 3+ years of ECC or 5+ years total experience preferred (min. 2 years' experience required)
- Strong advanced nursing skills (e.g. CRI calculations, NG tubes, extended differentials, and central lines). 
- Adaptable, lifelong learners who are eager to face new challenges every day and actively participate in our teaching hospital culture.
- A commitment to providing both patients and clients with the highest standard of care at a client-centered hospital.
- The ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility.
- A genuine love and respect for all animals is essential, as is an appreciation for the human-animal bond.
- Current status as a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon OR currently Licensed Veterinary Technician OR Registered Veterinary Technician, or other form of credentialed veterinary nurse or technician elsewhere with the ability to transfer license to Oregon.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
