Job Description

During IDB’s summer intern program, you will be placed strategically in one of our departments to gain professional experience, build your network and interact with Senior Managers. The job responsibilities will be guided by direct managements, yet an overall program of learning will bring you together with your fellow interns, to form the community of practice. As a team member you will have the opportunity to work in groups, gain problem solving skills, attend learning events and participate in a series of intern events.  Our goal is to ensure we have added value to your career while you gain experience and learn the world of financial services.

Internships will be in the following concentrations/departments:

·         Corporate Communications

·         Human Resources

·         Information Technology 

·         Asset Based Lending

·         Corporate Lending

·         NY Real Estate

·         Risk Management

·         US Private Banking

·         Accounting

·         IDB Capital

·         Treasury

·         Audit

·         Compliance

·         Information Security

·         Transformation Office

Qualifications

·         Currently in their junior year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree

·         Minimum overall GPA of 3.25 required

·         You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by IDBNY

·         Previous course work in accounting, economics, or finance is a plus

·         Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required

·         Ability to learn quickly and take action in a fast paced environment

·         Highly organized, detail oriented and motivate
