    We have an opening for a Human Resources Generalist at our Dallas, Texas facility which is the home of the Corporate Office staff and our world class Publishing manufacturing team. The role will include support and administration of various Human Resources projects, reports and processes while supporting employee and leadership support. The role encompasses employment, placement, orientation, training, labor and employee relations, and all aspects of HR general support. Although the role is in Dallas, Texas, you will also support various locations in partnership with the Austin, Texas Human Resources team. Dallas, Texas (600) Manhattan, Kansas (40) Louisville, Kentucky (150) Tallahassee, Florida (100 + 5000+ seasonal across the country) Atlanta, Georgia (20) Multiple Canada facilities (200) Mayaguez, Puerto Rico (200) Merida, Mexico (500)

    ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

    • As a remote HR Generalist at a Company operating in multiple states and countries, this role requires someone well versed in state, federal, and country regulations and compliance to ensure the Human Resources function is operating at peak efficiency.
    • Perform basic functions to include employee relations, coaching and counseling, employment verifications, leave of absence guidance, new hire and exit processes, etc.
    • Oversee applicant tracking and organize interview teams for positions to include understanding the position content, oversee interviews, and gather feedback of interview team to ensure solid selection of final candidate(s).
    • Further develop and optimize onboarding processes.
    • Specific recruiting and on-boarding for 5000+ seasonal employees driving processes and partnerships with the field operations team. Initiate and drive implementation of corporate projects.
    • Maintain reports for site on HR metrics, project status reports, staffing meeting minutes, etc.
    • Support the compensation area by providing documentation for job descriptions and salary structures.
    • Execute delivery of communications (written and verbal) for employee and management dissemination on various HR topics to include, but not limited to, open enrollment, compliance requirements, employee relations, etc.
    • This role is highly data and research driven and you will own several key metrics.
    • Manage and optimize employee engagement and satisfaction.
    • Assist team leaders in optimizing performance of all team members.
    • Assist the Head of Human Resources in ensuring union contract requirements are maintained.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree focused in Business or Human Resources Management preferred
    • PHR OR SHRM-CP Certification
    • Experience in a large manufacturing environment with union representation
    • Tech savvy - Google Suite, HRIS software, Zoom, GoToMeeting and exceptional skills in Microsoft products to include the ability to create complicated Excel and PowerPoint documents
    • Experience in documenting and completing various project deliverables
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in a Human Resources generalist role including recruiting, HR administration, and building business partnerships
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to take direction from Corporate Human Resources team and build remote partnerships
    • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
    • Aspirations to grow HR career
    • Support multiple facilities remotely
    • Potential travel to in state field locations approximately once per quarter
