  • Responsibilities

    Network Engineer III is responsible for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management center or organization, and may handle enterprise level issues. The candidate provides technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions. Candidate is responsible for design, integration, operation and management of complex enterprise networks, linking a variety of platforms, operating systems, network topologies and network protocols. Candidate may also manage teams of engineers or lead project initiatives related to network architecture, evaluation of hardware and software products and problem resolution.     • Skillset needs must include Cisco and Juniper certifications; including script writing
    • Router and Firewall configuration scripts or MOP¿s for other teams to implement during nighttime maintenance events. MOP¿s would define static routes through firewalls.
    • Analyze a network and determine if routes through that network are in place or need to be added.
    • Firewall or past Sprint network experience preferred. Shift: 8am -5pm

  • Qualifications
    • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license is required. Ability to travel (even extensively) with little or no notice.

    • Must have ability to pass government background check as needed

    • Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and various Windows Operating Systems.

    • Working knowledge of Networking such as FTP, Telnet, and TCP/IP.

    • Developed professional oral and written communication skills.

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability.

    • Basic knowledge of standard ESD practices.

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment without close supervision.

    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

    • Ability to work within a team and follow through with tasks and projects.

    • Goal and objective orientated.

    • Ability to read and understand workflow and dataflow diagrams.

    • Ability to troubleshoot basic IDEMIA hardware and software.

    • Ability to learn and understand new hardware and software technologies.

    • Ability to manage a remote Spare Parts depot.

    • Ability to manage work-related expenses, submitting applicable documentation in accordance with Company Policy.

    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
