    This position sits in the Ipsos MedTech Team. The MedTech team are medical device and diagnostic specialists that focus on a wide range of areas, providing a comprehensive range of market access services globally: pricing & access (coverage, coding and reimbursement) strategy; value messaging for non-clinical decision-makers (payers, hospital administrators); and evidence generation and planning. We partner with med-tech clients to position them for commercial success and communicate the value of their product by analyzing the opinions, behaviors, and trends of purchasing decision-makers.

    IPSOS IS SEEKING AN ANALYST TO JOIN OUR MEDTECH MARKET ACCESS GROUP. THE ANALYST POSITION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO ALL ASPECTS OF CONSULTING ACTIVITIES CONTRIBUTING TO THE OF STRATEGIC AND TECHNICAL PROJECTS ACROSS MULTIPLE MARKETS, WORKING AT THE DIRECTION OF THE PROJECT MANAGER TOWARDS CLIENT DELIVERY, AND ASSISTING IN PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES. THE ANALYST WILL PLAY AN ACTIVE ROLE IN ENSURING PROJECTS ADDRESS CLIENT’S KEY QUESTIONS.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    · EXECUTE PROJECTS TO CLIENT-READY STANDARDS: Under the direction of the project manager, contribute to successful projects in areas of market access strategy, pricing, and reimbursement. Commonly used methodologies are:

    o SECONDARY RESEARCH: Follow standard procedures to undertake secondary research; understand and utilize all available data sources efficiently; make recommendations for new sources; gather and analyse data

    o PRIMARY RESEARCH: Moderate interview programs; undertake telephone and face-to-face interviews with payers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders following structured discussion guides, suggesting on-going amendments where necessary

    · ANALYSIS AND REPORTING: Understand client requirement to produce high quality, concise and visually appealing client reports

    · Proactively communicate with colleagues at all levels to ensure mutual exchange of information. Effectively manage own time across multiple simultaneous projects; ensure work is delivered on time; ensure all data is accurate and consistent, and any inconsistencies are called out; ensure appropriate referencing, formatting, spelling, and grammar

     

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    · Natural problem solver with the ability to identify core issues and create solutions

    · Intellectual curiosity to seek out answers to client’s business questions

    · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    · Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work on a team

    · Ability to meet tight and immoveable deadlines

    · Ability to manage multiple projects at once

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant healthcare experience. Examples of relevant work experience include healthcare consulting firms, hospital administration, health plan organizations, device and diagnostic manufacturers, and the healthcare industry at large.

    · Strong interest in learning about medical technologies, medical devices, diagnostics, and the overall advancement of the healthcare industry

    · Experience in pricing and reimbursement across US and/or global markets is a plus

    · Experience in medical devices and diagnostics a plus

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    University/college degree in a related field (such as business/economics, public health, pharmacy, or biology and chemistry with an emphasis on health care) and/or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare or consulting/marketing sectors
