    THIS IS A POSITION WITH IDEMIA NATIONAL SECURITY SOLUTIONS.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Receive material, sign from carriers noting any exceptions as shortages or damage, accurately count and verify received material
    • Open and check packages contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
    • Deliver or have recipients sign for and pick up commodities
    • Enter items received into computer ERP system Great Plains daily
    • Deliver packing slips
    • Ensure secure materials are immediately verified and received according to policy and procedures.
    • Package all products for shipping by palletizing, strap and shrink-wrap.
    • Ability to contact carriers for pick-up, make changes to shipments (i.e. change billing, stop and return, expedite).
    • Ability to understand and obtain freight charges.
    • Manually lift packages, boxes, materials.
    • Unload or operate a hand jack to move pallets, large shipping containers.
    • Maintain all logs and reporting documentation. 
    • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying internal and external customer demands in fast-paced environment. 
    • Complies with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times.
    • Provide tracking information for all internal and external customers. 
    • Prepare and keep stock of all packaging materials. 
    • Be compliant with all government and Company policies and required certifications/classes. 
    • Assist in any physical inventory activities required in support of the business and/or customer programs.  Perform all functions of the warehouse. Receiving, material handling and shipping. Perform all necessary data entry transactions in Oracle and Excel software experience.

     

    Note: In addition to the Essential Functions, also performs similar work-related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Mid-level experience or knowledge of at least two of the following: Supply Chain procedures, Logistics procedures, Working knowledge of filing electronic export information and declarations, Shipping and Receiving management responsibilities
    • Computer experience is required – MS Office skills a must.
    • The successful candidate must have working knowledge of UPS, FedEx, LTL Carrier system and procedures and basic knowledge of building facility procedures
    • Problem Solving, innovation, critical thinking skills, proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, must have excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills, must be detailed oriented with excellent analytical, organization, communication and customer service skills.
    • Clean/organize and keep orderly dock and shipping/receiving area before leaving for the day.

    Required Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School degree
    • 2-3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS, SUCH AS:

    • General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS, SUCH AS:

    • Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.

    • •The work requires light physical effort with frequent lifting and/or moving of materials in the 10-30 pound range and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects. May require normal range of hearing and vision to operate machinery.
