Join the team that is ensuring one person- one identity.  The contract management team is responsible for the order processing, invoicing of all contracts within the public security business line. The team of 4 is managing a volume of 5,000+ invoices contracts representing over $100M of annual revenues.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Manages and leads the day-to-day operations of the Public Security Contracts Billing department
    • Plans, coordinates, trains and monitors department personnel performance
    • Collaborates and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers (where appropriate) to proactively identify and develop efficient billing strategies and solutions to address customer invoicing requirements
    • Provides strategic and administrative guidance to staff of appropriate invoicing and support documentation standards
    • Establishes and maintains internal controls to achieve corporate objectives related to invoicing, government contracting regulations, accounting, and financial reporting. Designs and implements internal controls as needed.
    • Reviews and approves each invoice prior to its release and/or submission to the customer
    • Develops and implements process improvements for department with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy
    • Oversees documentation and update of department desk procedures to ensure all key department activities are documented
    • Interfaces with senior management

    Required Skills

    • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
    • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others
    • Advanced, hands-on experience with Microsoft GP and Microsoft Excel
    • Knowledge of accounting standards, practices, and procedures
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

    Required Experience

    • Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in the government contract billing, reporting, or accounting fields
    • Experience working with and responding to internal, external or government auditor requests
    • Experience working with ERP systems (Ideally Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains) and MS Excel
    • Experience with managing personnel, including in a teleworking environment
    • Experience reviewing and approving journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and performing month-end close activities
