    We are seeking an energetic Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks including the preparation of account reconciliations, preparing journal entries to be recorded and monthly financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will also have responsibility for maintaining detailed schedules supporting various account balances. An ideal candidate must be ambitious, driven and have perseverance while maintaining a positive attitude.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Assist in the month-end close process including financial reporting to parent company
    • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations
    • Assist in the preparation of schedules in connection with bi-annual external audits
    • Maintain the accounting records for various asset and liability accounts
    • Perform ad hoc account analyses and other departmental tasks, as necessary
    • Assist with the preparation of local financial statements on a quarterly basis

       

    Required Skills

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS

    • Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools

    • Experience working with TM1, SAP Business Objects, and Great Plains a plus

    • Experience with monthly close process required

    • Experience with financial reporting to parent company preferred

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the finance team and to partner with key business stakeholders

     

     

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENT, WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Minor travel may be required
    • General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
    • Working hours. The employee will be required to work evenings and weekends during certain peak times such as month-end, quarter-end and year-end
    • Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.

     

    Required Experience

      QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 5+ years of progressive experience working in accounting/finance
    • B.S. in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA a plus
    • Public accounting experience preferred
    • Experience working with multinational companies preferred
