    COLSA Corporation is seeking resumes for evaluation and consideration for possible future employment opportunities as Network Systems Analysts to join the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Advanced Research Center (ARC). The candidate selected will be afforded the opportunity to showcase their expertise and technical abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment. The selected candidate will provide technical support to the MDA’s engineering, development, integration, testing and analysis of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) infrastructure and component systems. The Network Systems Analyst will analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

    • Analyzes complex local and wide area network systems including the planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites *
    • Configures communication media with routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices *
    • Resolves difficult interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms *
    • Configures systems to user environment *
    • Configures and manages network monitoring appliances and applications, such as IDS, Spam/Malware, and Anti-Virus Protection Systems *
    • Supports acquisition of hardware and software, as well as, subcontractor services

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
    • Two to Eight years of progressively responsible network systems engineering experience
    • Working knowledge of desktop application including word processing, spreadsheets and database programs
    • CISCO, MCSE, or other Networks related certification required
    • DoD 8570 required baseline security certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
    • Active Secret Security Clearance Required

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • 5+ Years of experience in managing a team
    • 7+ Years of relevant experience in the Monitoring and Evaluation Field
    • Demonstrated educational experience of at least a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study (Public Policy/Ad- ministration, Social Sciences, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, etc.)
    • Previous experience in similar role involving monitoring and evaluation
    • Ability to collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data. Has knowledge of, and employs, industry standard of sound data collection techniques
    • Ability to draft reports clearly outlining findings from data analysis
    • Assists in the development of data collection tools
    • Demonstrated work experience in region where programming activities are taking place
    • Demonstrated experience in developing data collection tools, data analysis and data management
    • Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders of different backgrounds
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and cultural awareness and sensitivity required to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team-oriented environment
    • Analytical mind, with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize deliverables in a timely manner to meet quick turnaround
    • Knowledge of research applications, including survey software, social media analysis, statistical analysis, data management
    • Secret Clearance

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree in relevant field of study (Public Policy/Ad- ministration, Social Sciences, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, etc.)
    • Experience with DoS grants and cooperative agreements or Security Assistance programs
    • Experience with analysis and reporting software, such as Nvivo, Tableau
    • Experience in country or region where monitoring and evaluation activities occur
