    RMS WILL BE PERFORMING BASE OPERATION SUPPORT (BOS-1) TO THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES AT AHMAD AL JABER AIR BASE (AJAB) IN KUWAIT, AS PART OF THE AFCAP IV CONTRACT.

     

    SUMMARY: 

    All Firefighters shall be cross-trained in structural and HazMat. In order to provide support as required during emergencies, an Emergency Medical Services (minimum EMT-Basic) certification is preferred.  To serve as a Firefighter, the crew member will be engaged in airfield and structural firefighting and crash-rescue operations. Operates firefighting vehicles of significant complexity to respond to the presence or potential releases of hazardous materials (HAZMAT), for the purpose of stopping or controlling the release, and to conduct performance of noninvasive emergency medical procedures.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Performs hazard and risk assessment, and conducts a complete incident analysis.
    • Performs Basic Life Support.
    • Operates firefighting vehicles, such as pumpers, mobile water supply, and airport rescue firefighting (ARFF) vehicles.
    • Performs crash-rescue and firefighting duties involving air traffic or support operations, where hazardous conditions are such that the expectancy for fire is high and potential for becoming destructive is great.
    • Performs structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities, which may include large multi-storied buildings, industrial areas, and/or base storage facilities.
    • Maintains firefighting equipment and fire station facilities.
    • Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
    • 5 to 7 years of experience is required.

     

     

    LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

    Firefighters shall have required certifications (DoD, Pro Board, or IFSAC) for the following:

    • Hazardous Material Technician (preferred)
    • Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations
    • Fire Fighter I and II
    • Airport Fire Fighter*
    • Apparatus Driver/Operator – Pumper (preferred)
    • Apparatus Driver/Operator – ARFF** (preferred)
    • Apparatus Driver/Operator – Mobile Water Supply ** (preferred)
    • Apparatus Driver/Operator – Aerial ** (preferred)
    • Apparatus Driver/Operator – Tiller (preferred)
    • Completion of Confined Space Ops (preferred) or Rescue Tech
    • Current Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (preferred)

     

    TRAVEL: Ability to travel internationally. 100% Overseas assignment.

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

    • Knowledge of and experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement
    • Must possess proficiency with (MS Office), preferably also with MRP systems.
    • Must have demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
    • Must possess working knowledge of production quality assurance procedures
    • Maintain material inventory accuracy and conduct system transactions.
    • Complete required production metrics and reports accurately and on time.
    • Conduct interviews, hire new operations staff, and provide employee orientation.
    • Establish goals, conduct feedback reviews, provide personal development advice to staff.
