    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensures servicing carts are maintained by the using organization to include purging and pulling vacuum.
    • Verifies AFTO Form 244 are completed to ensure carts meet safe operating conditions.
    • Ensures carts are not filled that do not meet safe operating conditions.
    • Inspects AFTO Form 134, Aviator Breathing Oxygen Servicing Trailer Log (Liquid/Gaseous), on LOX carts prior to servicing.
    • Enforces the Conservation Program by limiting fill periods to the minimum number that is required to support the mission.
    • Only fill carts required for aircraft servicing.
    • Encourages using organizations to keep active carts to a minimum, and maintains other carts in a purged, standby status.
    • Keeps active tanks as full as economically possible.
    • Follows sampling and testing program, as prescribed by the 42B-series T.O.’s.
    • Ensures a Test, Measurement, & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) account is established and monitored IAW T.O. 33K-1-100-1, Calibration Procedure for Maintenance Data Collection Codes and Calibration Measurement Summaries.
    • Ensures tools and TKs utilized for cryogenic maintenance are specified for LOX use, only in addition to marked identification number.
    • Establishes safeguards to keep LOX tools hydrocarbon free at all times.
    • Responsible for the inventory of all cryogenics equipment and tools.
    • Coordinates with lab personnel to ensure scheduled tests are taken and ensures results are entered in FMD.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role; preferably in Cryogenics Maintenance or Production; or equivalent. 
    • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to supervise and perform maintenance on cryogenic storage vessels of 400-gallons or larger within the respective cryogenics’ storage areas.
    • Completion of Cryogenics (Cryotainer) Maintenance and Support Equipment Courses or equivalent.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience performing cryotainer maintenance and support equipment functions, or equivalent.
    • Must be familiar with Cryogenics Conservation and Red X Programs.
    • Proficiency with operating, inspecting, troubleshooting and maintenance of 400-gallon cryotainers, purge units, vacuum gauges, vacuum pumps and cryogenic samplers a must.
    • Must have familiarization with shipment of cryotainers, aircraft overboard vent systems, and servicing cryogenic carts.

     

    LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Must have valid U.S. Driver’s License and be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
    • Must be able to obtain a 10K forklift operator’s license.
    • Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain a flight line access badge.

     

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Must have excellent verbal and writing skills; be familiar with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
    • Fully understands the scope of practice of Cryogenics including the compliance and enforcement of safety, completion of forms and records, use of technical orders, the properties of cryogenic products, and functions of support equipment.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Candidates must be physically able and willing to work long hours to meet mission and contract requirements. 

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have Valid U.S. Passport.
    • Must have and maintain an U.S. Secret Security Clearance. 
    • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, and background checks, etc.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Demonstrated knowledge of char-grill, range, steamer, salamander, fryers and oven use.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of knife and culinary skills.

    • Knowledge of basic butchering of meat and fish, salad and cold food preparation.

    • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.

    • Ability to adjust to and manage change effectively.

    • Must be dependable, timely and have high attention to detail.

    • Must be flexible to work different shifts.

    • Previous working knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) system preferred.
