ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER (TPO) is responsible for driving IDIQ product delivery. They work closely with product and enterprise leaders to transform the strategic roadmap into a well-defined and prioritized backlog. In addition to the daily management of the development team, they will work with cross-functional stakeholders on all aspects of product delivery ensuring an amazing user experience in every interaction. They will be responsible for defining and measuring success metrics across several experience and financial categories. They will become a leader within the team and the organization driving the product vision to market.

• Collaborate with the leadership team to influence strategic vision and roadmap
• Ensure the needs of the business and users are represented and understood by the team
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog for all assigned projects based on business value
• Ensure that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value. Write detailed stories for the product backlog.
• Actively participate in agile gatherings (stand-ups, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives)
• Drive alignment and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in project execution and delivery
• Assist stakeholders and product leaders in the completion of discovery and framing efforts related to assigned objectives
• Act as key stakeholder and driver of assigned objectives from completion of discovery phase through to launch
• Ensure feature acceptance and readiness at key phases of the delivery cycle. Accept or reject the delivery team’s work results; ensuring development decisions stay aligned with business needs and any issues that arise are addressed as quickly as possible
• Execute feature demonstrations for stakeholders prior to final delivery and acceptance
• Build artifacts and conduct technical training for Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure all involved teams can work effectively with newly implemented and existing applications
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
• Collaborate with engineering resources based both locally and offshore, participate in meetings that align with offshore hours (8-10 pm or 6-8 am) as needed to ensure delivery of assigned objectives

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

• 2-4 years of experience managing projects in an Agile environment
• A strong passion for great user experience and meeting user needs
• Strong analytical skills to make fact-based decisions and to document the evidence that led to those decisions
• Strong time management skills and project management skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage different projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to function and lead in a team environment
• Experience in product ownership, project management in consumer-facing web applications
• Experience with process mapping and design
• Ability to focus on the most important outcome at the current moment
• Experience delivering shippable features in a scaled agile framework

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

• Ownership & Driveability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong follow-through and a focus on owning the outcome
• Influential and Persuasive - seen as a trusted advisor
• Solid understanding of users, the marketplace, competition, and of future trends for the consumer credit, finance, or identity theft
• Proven ability to clearly define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.
• Unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and driving results for yourself and your team members and stakeholders
• Experience or familiarity with the topics of information security and data privacy
• Certifications from at least one of the following:
  • Scrum Alliance (CSPO/A-CSPO
  • Scaled Agile (Certified SAFe Product Owner/Manager)

POSITION DETAILS:

The annual salary negotiation for the position starts at $100,000, plus a Management by Objective (MBO) Bonus plan. This is a full-time position, salaried, exempt (40+ hours/week).

THIS POSITION IS ONSITE AT OUR TEMECULA OFFICE CENTER. HOWEVER, DUE TO COVID-19, OUR COMPANY IS CURRENTLY WORKING REMOTELY. ONCE OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT RE-OPENS, THIS POSITION WILL RESUME IN OUR TEMECULA OFFICE. WE ARE CURRENTLY ONLY CONSIDERING LOCAL HIRES FOR THIS POSITION AT THIS TIME.
