Primary Function:
An IDO Incorporated Design Associate Level 1 is an entry level, or minimally experienced, associate who focuses on customer service and project service delivery. A Level 1 Design Associate is responsible for supporting and executing their responsibilities associated with the company strategy and marketing plan to boost profits and efficiency.
** General Responsibilities:**
In the area of project service delivery, a Level 1 Design Associate is responsible for all assigned project activity. Other primary responsibilities specific to this role include:
- Overall project involvement – coordinating all phases of interior design projects, processing general facility support services activities and developing client driven reports.
- ** People Development and HR Activities** – complies with all current laws, regulations and team activities. Aspires to grow to the next Design Associate Level of the organization and “co-pilots” their personal and professional development process to raise the level of their competency within the business.
- Strategic Initiatives – Actively and meaningfully participates in performing the tasks and responsibilities related to the corporate strategic initiatives that moves the organization towards its long-term goals. After strategic plan goals have been identified, the Design Associate Level 1 will participate in processing various strategic initiative activities.
- Culture – Actively and meaningfully promotes and defends a culture that reflects the organization’s values and beliefs.

Level 1 Key Responsibilities
- AutoCad, Revit, CAP, Sketch up and other software support
- Must be able to develop Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents using AutoCAD & Revit, with strong oversight
- Knowledge of space planning and specifying furniture
- On-site field verification and basic inventory development
- Introductory level of understanding of ergonomic standards, ADA and building codes
- Responsible for vendor meetings
- Facilities Management and Move Coordination including focus on: preparation of client driven reports, execution of small furniture requests and reconfigurations coordinate small move and develop presentation drawings
- Basic understanding of your role in the Project Management process
- Involvement in an IDO Incorporated Strategic Team at a basic level
- Basic understanding of Financial Literacy / Business Acumen
- Introduction to the DOC model of a Professionally Managed Organization
