    We are currently seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for entering, reviewing, and processing invoices. You will also be responsible for communicating with vendors to resolve issues, and requesting statements for semi-monthly or monthly statement review, which you will then review and request any open invoices for processing. The team is very dynamic, and a fast paced environment!

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Abide by generally accepted accounting principles and internal procedures and controls to protect and preserve the Company’s assets.
    • Match purchase orders to invoices.
    • Code invoices for data entry and enter into accounting system.
    • Reconcile vendor statements semi-monthly or monthly.
    • Maintain accounts payable files i.e. correct remittance address and inform management of new vendors.
    • Prepare account analysis, as required.
    • Answer vendor inquiries i.e. payment status and resolve billing issues.
    • Process Utility invoices
    • Cross train with other team members
    • Other projects or tasks as assigned

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSET

    • Five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Prior experience with financial accounting software applications.
    • Intermediate Excel skills.
    • Ability to achieve results. Commitment to quality.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to apply intermediate mathematical concepts.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
