    ** Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

    ** ARD Facilitator**

    • Monitor, assist, and coach campus staff in completing ARD documentation
    • Participate in required professional learning and meetings, and follow all year-end procedures related to job assignment
    • Effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, students and parents as well as maintaining positive and effective relationships
    • Serve as a resource to campus administration on the implementation of special education services
    • Communicate with parents to complete ARD paperwork
    • Prepare and maintain ARD meeting calendar for assigned members and notify all appropriate staff and attendees of changes/cancellations of meetings
    • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, required rosters and other documents in a timely and accurate manner
    • Coordinate paperwork, evaluations, IEPs, etc. with all related and instructional service, teachers, and assessment personnel
    • Assist with communication among assessment and related/instructional services
    • Use technology to organize information, schedule meetings and staffing, develop and maintain ARD documentation and produce written materials

    ** Compliance**

    • Provide and/or facilitate professional learning opportunities to assist school personnel in programming for students with disabilities
    • Ensure that all federal and state requirements are met when conducting ARD meetings
    • Remain current on best practices, special education law, policies and procedures
    • Review and correct student files to ensure data integrity
    • Coordinate the state and national testing programs
    • Maintain security of testing materials while on campus and order additional test materials as needed
    • Distribute ARD documentation including behavior plans, health plans, etc. to campus staff and maintain documentation
    • Quality control over report cards, progress reports, data collections, and other documentation required for students

    ** Other**

    • The employee must be able to maintain emotional control under stress
    • Can work a set schedule with some flexibility
    • Can work in person at the office (some remote time is available)
    • Other similar duties could be assigned as needed

    ** Qualification Requirements**

    • Bachelor's Degree in education or related field
    • Valid Special Education Certification
    • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience with a minimum of 3 years of completing Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) paperwork in a data management system
    • Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, policies, procedures, and best practices related to the implementation of special education services
    • Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs
    • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Leadership experience in providing staff development
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Experience with national and state testing programs preferred

    Shiloh is a community-based residential and day treatment program located near Pearland. We serve students who qualify for special educational services including, intellectually disabled, emotionally disturbed, and autism based on their full and individual evaluations (FIE). We are a TEA approved facility and follow all state and federal laws and guidelines regarding education. Working with local districts, we implement services identified in the student’s individual education plan (IEP). Our students all have severe challenges, and our goal is to reduce their barriers to progress, while providing a collaboratively therapeutic approach to address all needs, so they can return to a less restrictive educational setting successfully.
    This position will cover areas of ARD facilitator, state testing coordinator, and compliance coordinator. The coordinator will facilitate the ARD process for students receiving special education services in our out of district program. They will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure documentation in the ARD paperwork is high quality and accurate. They will also oversee other areas of documentation and state testing for compliance and quality.
