Job Description
Job Summary: Serves as Liaison with Department of Education District Administrators and reviews, tracks, and processes Annual Reviews.
Qualifications:
•\tMasters in special education and general education
•\tCertification in Special Education Birth-2
Job Responsibilities:
•\tMaintain contact with Department of Education District Administrator to schedule appointments for meeting
•\tTrack, make and record appointments and timelines for Annual Reviews
•\tParticipate at IEP meetings representing the school
•\tDisseminate new IEP’s and reports to Administrative and Educational staff
•\tConduct problem solving activities
•\tFulfill Professional Development requirements and Mandated Reporter requirements
•\tSubmit updated Medial as required
•\tFulfill obligations as Mandated Reporter
•\tServe as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming and effective work ethic
•\tParticipate in school wide projects/committees
•\tProtect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines
•\tPerform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation
•\tNotify schools of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or professional meetings that will affect agreed upon services in the school
•\tTreat all children with dignity and respect
•\tAttend 3-5 evening orientation/conference events with parents
•\tMust be able to lift 40 pounds
