We serve the public interest through advocacy, development, and support for our member organizations.Position SummaryII.We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate students to work with IFAC or one of the Standard Setting Boards (SSB) for 8 weeks. Interns are expected to work approximately 25 hours per week and will be assigned to a specific team for the duration of the internship. As an intern you will gain valuable experience working in an international environment, learning from colleagues that come from diverse backgrounds.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesIII.Interns will work in one of the following departments: Governance, Standard Setting Boards, Accountancy Education, Quality & Development, IT.Responsibilities will vary depending upon the department but may include:Research and compilation of information from professional accountancy organizations and other key stakeholder groups, covering issues and areas impacting the global accountancy professionAssist in editing and reviewing content for publicationsProvide support to ongoing projects through research, data analysis, drafting reports, etc.Participate in internal team meetingsAssist with development of social media material and other resources to promote IFAC and the SSBsSupport IFAC and SSB in event planning and coordinationUpdate databases and ensure data accuracy and completenessEngage with other areas of IFAC as neededSummer interns will work under the supervision of management but are expected to work independently and undertake other tasks as needed.Iv. QualificationsExposure to finance and/or accounting, preferredExcellent research and analysis skillsStrong attention to detail and organization skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage projects and work independently Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing prioritiesCollaborative team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on projects and ask questions as neededInterns can work in-person, hybrid, or remote schedule depending on their availability, and the availability of the team to which they are assigned.
