We are looking for an experienced Electrical Control Panel Builder to join our team at IFP Automation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a Control Panel Builder at IFP Automation, you will play a key role in the production of custom automated production and manufacturing solutions. You will be responsible for building electrical control panels for our clients, following detailed schematics, and using a variety of electrical components. The successful candidate will have prior experience building and wiring control panels and a working knowledge of reading schematics and wiring diagrams. Responsibilities: • Enclosure and panel layout • Read electrical schematics • Assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator interface, variable speed drives, motor controls, hydraulic controls, and/or pneumatic controls • Must be able to perform wiring of electrical components • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work under little supervision • Must be able to perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of panel assembly and fabrication Qualifications: Skills required (training will be provided for the right candidate): • Candidates must have experience and/or willingness to operate and learn a variety of hand tools • Ability to learn manufacturing principles and practices • Familiarity with UL508A is helpful • Following directions under limited supervision • Willing to take direction and coaching • Perform basic mathematical calculations • Comply with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures • Communicate with co-workers to provide and receive direction • Good performance/work history • Excellent attendance record • Excellent organizational skills • Workplace orderliness • 1-year relevant experience is preferred Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly
