Job Description
This position has both industry and functional responsibilities. The dual responsibility allows this individual to develop specific expertise within their functional area, while also being able to develop a broad array of skills across many aspects of the marketing mix. The primary objective of this position is to help drive the sales pipeline as well as increase brand awareness across all verticals. The position includes marketing planning and budgeting, campaign/project management, and execution of marketing plans within the assigned industry.
Functional Responsibilities (70%)
· Project manage and execute all aspects of events including trade shows, employee events, and virtual events. Responsibilities include; planning, physical or virtual booth layout and design, schedule staffing, booth setup, logistics, graphics creation, events calendar, event ROI, event research, and managing trade show equipment with local vendors.
· Manage and maintain the annual budget tracking for all events.
· Develop at-show, pre-show, and post-show promotion strategies with the industry lead for each event, including sponsorships or other promotional opportunities.
· Liaison with the global marketing team for asset creation as needed.
· Other internal and external marketing communication.
· 40% travel is likely with some weekend travel necessary
Industry Responsibilities (30%)
· Develop, execute, and measure a comprehensive marketing plan that ultimately drives awareness, sales leads, and pipeline.
· Research new programs and ideas that will drive future success
· Act as the marketing “go to” person for assigned industry/segment and manage activities across all stakeholders.
· Work in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and the Demand Generation Team to create and execute outstanding lead generation programs.
· Provide creative vision, writing, editing, and project management skills in creating campaigns to encourage maximum sales activity. Work individually and with a team in creating, scheduling, and planning projects/campaigns.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role you will likely have:
· Previously worked in in B-to-B marketing most specifically in the area of business software applications
· Ability to continually reset priorities, be flexible to rapidly changing market demands/conditions, and contribute to a strong team environment.
· Ability to quickly become familiar with and communicate concepts regarding enterprise software
· Strong project management skills, along with excellent oral and written communications skills
· Demonstrated written communication and editing skills
· Strong PowerPoint skills
· Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and creative
· Solid time and project management skills
· Strong business acumen and analytical skills
· Commitment to delivering high-quality work on time
· Passion and self-motivation
· A self-starter, a strong work ethic, with personal initiative, and drive
· Ability to work independently without supervision and collaboratively with teams when needed
