Job Description
The Consultant will bridge the gap between the Customer’s business requirements and the IFS Ultimo software application. One of the main competences of a Consultant is to advise and guide the Customer. Listening, understanding, and discerning the Customer’s real needs, so that the appropriate solution can be pursued together.
As a subject matter expert (SME) in specific knowledge areas, the Consultant offers her/his expertise to colleagues, Implementation Partners, and Customers.
The Consultant enjoys the challenge of creating and communicating well thought-through practical solutions that form the basis for successful implementations. Ultimately, the Consultant’s work should lead to highly referenceable and successful Customer stories.
Since this position is stationed in a—for Ultimo—untapped market, a high level of independency and entrepreneurship is expected. The Ultimo Consultant will be a pioneer for the organisation, striving to deliver high value projects which provide a strong foundation for the company’s growth ambitions in North America.
The Senior Consultant will take an active part in various phases of IFS Ultimo Projects to meet Customer needs. They will specialize in one or more functional or technical areas of expertise.
Through training, knowledge sharing and hands-on project experience, they will hone their skills to consistently work independently with Customers. Works closely with other Consultants to ensure that the IFS Ultimo solution delivers the desired benefits to the customer. Key to this is a firm understanding of IFS Ultimo products and the project methodology.
Essential duties and accountabilities
PROJECT
· Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in a specific area towards Customers and Partners
EXPERT DELIVERY
· Be aware of the key business requirements set out by the Customer
· Actively contribute to IFS Ultimo industry competence
· Ability to develop Customer business processes
· Routinely question and challenge the key decisions that are taken in relation to the solution design
· Configuring the software to the customer's needs and requirements
· Have a second level of understanding of the BVE in order to engage with the customer
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· Actively guide the Customers for improvements in their business and validate them with the Solution Architect or other Senior Consultants
· Understand the Customers industry characteristic and the Customer specific requirements
PARTNER SUPPORT
· Enable Implementation Partners to deliver high value projects.
Qualifications
Overall required competences
· Strong communication skills
· IFS Ultimo products and process portfolios (possibilities and limitations)
· Experienced in EAM
· How to participate in workshops e.g., presentation, organizational, and documentation skills
· Project Management

Required education & experience
• An academic background with a Bachelor or Masters’ degree in engineering, Business or IT (or equivalent education or experience)
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally where required
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Experience in a customer facing role
• Exposure to business process mapping
• Experience of data analysis and problem solving
· Experience delivering EAM projects in a relevant industry setting, preferably in a similar role
· Strong project Management skills
