About the Department: GMG - Global Markets Group (GMG) IHS Markit's Global Markets Group seeks to be the nerve center for primary market workflow and serve as a conduit for capital formation by electronically connecting the sell-side, buy-side, and corporations. The Global Markets Group also offers services including applications and data for secondary markets. We're looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies to be available for a full time role commencing in 2023. About the role You will be an Intern in the Global Markets Group of IHS Markit, working in the customer success group. You will be working and supporting our team of analysts whom are the primary points of contact for clients with inquiries related to our vast product suite within our capital markets platform. This is a great opportunity to gain extensive client interaction and experience in the capital markets arena. Key responsibilities include: Support the team in a specific area within one of our asset classes: Municipal Bonds Fixed Income Corporate Bonds Equity New Issuance (IPOs), or Brokerage, Research, Sales and Trading Assist in looking at trends and identifying at-risk clients Shadow team on client calls, product demonstrations, trainings all while learning our products Partner with our client facing organization to learn and support our customer base Aid in building out client profiles and targeting areas of growth What we're looking for We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds and ideas with a desire to learn and thrive. To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have: A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) completed no later than May 2022 0-6 months relevant work experience Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries Excellent communication skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply For Client Success Analyst applicants, we recommend the following: Basic understanding of Financial Markets, public equity and/or fixed income Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly Proficient with MS Office Attention to detail and good multitasking skills Ability to quickly absorb and put into practice new information, instructions, or procedures, while seamlessly performing current job tasks.
