    Our growing Logistics management firm is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, full-time Logistics Planner. This person is responsible for providing ongoing operational support to clients while setting up freight shipments. They should possess exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This high-energy, detail-oriented, professional will be responsible for the management of shipping activity by performing a variety of responsibilities with confidence. Responsibilities: • Coordinate shipments and verify suitability and capacity: special shipping requirements, weight, size, product readiness, appointments etc.  • Provide rate quotes for volume/spot/air shipments etc.  • Leverage carrier relationships to influence capacity awards during tight markets  • Audit load information to ensure all the shipment details are correct   • Address client inquiries in a timely fashion  • Prepare and process all required shipping documentation  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery  • Troubleshoot shipment failures and find alternate solutions, engage client and provide timely updates  • Leverage knowledge of modes, rates, lanes, NMFC etc. to optimize client shipments  • Complete internal and client projects as required  • Other administrative duties as required  Qualifications: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration   • Strong ability to prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items  • Associate’s Degree  • Familiar with rating and pricing schemes for all transportation modes, including the mechanics of LTL class-rate tariffs, small parcel zone-based tariffs, and TL mileage-based tariffs, and accessorial charges (A PLUS!!) • 2 years in Logistics preferred (WILL TRAIN HIGHLY MOTIVATED CANDIDATE) • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications  Compensation: $16 - $18 per hour
