Job Description

The HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL SPECIALIST oversees payroll functions, company benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process Payroll (weekly): this involves maintenance of time clock (daily), PTO calendar (daily), ADP Workforce Now portal (as needed), garnishments (weekly).
• Maintain employee personnel and DOT files, including creating employee files for new hires and ensuring all employees’ files are kept up to date.
• Onboarding of new employees.
• Employment verification (by phone, fax, and/or mail).
• Submit reports for workers’ comp claims.
• Weekly overtime analysis report.
• Gatekeeper of all forms, guidelines, apps, etc.
• EEOC report (yearly).
• Submit applications for health benefits.
• Submit 401K file weekly.
• Approval of all HR invoices
• Work with managers in recruiting and hiring of open positions
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources field (Preferred)
• ADP Workforce Now: 2 years (Required)
• 1 – 3 years payroll related work experience (Required)
• Individuals working towards PHR or SHRM Certification encouraged to apply
