    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The purpose of this position is to work as a team member to provide the highest level of Engineering Advantage to our customers by improving designs for manufacturing, profitability, performance, quality, and customer requirements on existing and new products; to provide design support on existing products to all departments within the company; to provide evaluation of all ECN’s and BOM revisions to drive customer satisfaction and contribute to sales growth. Perform routine processes, which require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out production sustaining engineering duties, redesign of existing products, and design of new products.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work within the Company Management System with an emphasis on the Advanced Production Quality Planning process.
    2. Under general supervision design, develop, and implement custom engineered solutions meeting customer product specifications and all industry and regulatory requirements. 
    3. Acquires and applies sound engineering judgment to problem-solving in both design work and in production issues.
    4. Under general supervision perform standard design calculations and support Engineering efforts on critical projects which includes idea/concept development, prototype evaluation, concept verification, and production design validation.
    5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering design, documentation, and bill of material for products on both a domestic and global level. 
    6. Design and implement verification and validation programs to insure designs are adequate for intended purpose. 
    7. Troubleshoots and resolves product integrity issues with an appropriate sense of urgency. Supports VAVE and product transfers. 
    8. Under general supervision researches requirements, presents design options, and documents results for project team or engineering management. 
    9. Relies on established guidelines to apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
    10. Interfaces directly with customers and end-users to understand application needs and product design potential. Presents design concepts to external customers for review.
    11. Other duties as assigned.

    EXPERTISE REQUIRED

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of Engineering field experience.

     

    Computers and Technology

    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). 
    • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems, 2D/3D drawings and CAE software
    • Proficient in 3D CAD operation. Autodesk Inventor preferred.
