IMS BUHRKE-OLSON, AN INDUSTRY LEADER IN PRECISION METAL STAMPING AND ASSEMBLY WITH MANUFACTURING LOCATIONS IN THE US AND MEXICO, IS SEEKING A STAFF ACCOUNTANT FOR ITS ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL FACILITY. SEEKING SELF-MOTIVATED INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE ABLE TO WORK ON THEIR OWN AND WITH A TEAM IN A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT!

JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare and record certain journal entries in the appropriate systems
2. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
3. Perform bank accounts reconciliation.
4. Maintain fixed asset accounts and record into F/A system.
5. Update metrics schedules, and various analyses such as Gross Profit by Customer
6. Prepare various schedules for monthly management review and quarterly financial review.
7. Prepare various cost analyses, reviewing costing and margins
8. Assist Controller on special projects, i.e. budgets and sales analysis.

COMPETENCIES (THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND/OR ABILITY REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY.)

Education/Training – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Interest in obtaining a CPA

Experience – Internships in the field of study

Language Skills – Must have excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal. Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Computer Skills – Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel.
