OCEAN PLANNING (BILINGUAL IN KOREAN AND ENGLISH) – TORRANCE, CA

SUMMARY:

The Ocean Planner is a position primarily responsible for monitoring the status of data for each of local offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring outstanding amount of money which has not been paid by customer (mainly LG Electronics, LG Chemical and others)
• Gathering the Data of Monthly Cost spent for the delivery of customers' shipment and share that information with them
• Handling outstanding charges issues with various Carriers such as Maersk Line, NYK, Hyundai, APL, etc.
• Service Contract (S/C) Data management, handling issues with S/C
• Handling Cargo Damage Claim Issues (supported by Company Legal Counselor)
• Service Coordination/Communication with customers and carriers
• Taking a role as a Control Tower if specific/abnormal issues happen (for example, carrier Hanjin Bankruptcy issue, hurricane issue)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• MS Office required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to work under fast paced environment and pressure
• Attention to detail
• Strong service-oriented mindset
• Ability to multi-task
• Bilingual in Korean and English)
