    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:  Account Management & Business Development for automotive aftermarket customers within assigned territory.  POSITION TASKS:

    • Identify, cultivate, and manage Automotive Aftermarket sales accounts
    • Generate sales of new product categories and meet the determined sales objectives and/or goals
    • Contribute to new business account(s) and product development efforts
    • Work within a sales budget to maintain and exceed operating goals
    • Seek balance between revenue growth and profitability while also reporting on national sales activities
    • Analysis of customer date, market trend(s), opportunity pipeline and benchmarking competitors
    • Provide technical assistance and support to customers in regards to specific application and/or issue with company products
    • Responsible for managing relationships and collaboration with independent sales representatives
    • Attend trade shows, seminars and training sessions to keep informed of current trends in the Automotive Aftermarket and competitive products and activities
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures standards and government regulations
    • Maintain high level of inter-departmental communication in order to achieve sales goals and ability to provide track record of sales
    • Visit customers to obtain feedback for analytical purposes.
    • Oversee and manager new accounts, as well as, maintain customer database
    • Resolves order and inventory problems by investigating data and history; identifying alternate means for filling orders; notifying managers and customers.
    • Resolves promotional allowance, rebate, and pricing discrepancies by researching promotion details and regular and special prices; forwarding resolution to managers.
    • Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.
    • Provides sales vs. projection results by preparing and forwarding sales tracking reports.
    • Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.
    • Maintains customer database by inputting customer profile and updates; preparing and distributing monthly reports.
    • Prepares sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials.
    • Tracks sales expenses by tracking, consolidating, analyzing, and summarizing expenses; forwarding for reimbursement.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
    • Additional duties as assigned

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Automotive Aftermarket Industry Sales Experience

    · Understanding the Customer, Customer Focus and being able to work within a team and keep professional at all times  · Excellent Communication Skills – Business Writing, E-mail, Verbal and Presentation  · Excellent Attention to Detail, Time Management, Organization and Multi-tasking Skills

    • Ability to connect logical theories/forecasts to the data collected.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5 years of Sales experience, preferably in the Automotive Aftermarket industry or related field
    • Excellent Computer and Analytical Skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word

    POSITION TYPE/ EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK  This is a full-time position. Days and hours may vary, Monday thru Sunday or as the job duties demand.  WORK ENVIRONMENT  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers programs, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets, fax machines. Travel is required within the North America territory.
