Logistics Customer Service Representative (Bilingual in Korean and English)
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures containers are delivered and picked up consistent with customers' requirements
· Requests and monitors last free day and return dates to avoid demurrage and per diem expenses to the Company and Customers
· Verifies container availability, booking confirmations and vessel acceptance, as well as other issues arising with dispatched containers
· Schedules appointments and coordinates driver deliveries with dispatch
· Enters job orders received from customers
· Checks releases at port for container availability
· Performs clerical work as required including answering phone calls, operating various office machines and computers, corresponding with customers, and greeting visitors in the office
· Performs all other duties or projects as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Associates Degree (AA) or higher preferred, minimum one (1) year related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and correspondence furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
· Ability to comprehend and effectively carry out written and verbal instructions
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, clients and employees within the Company
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
· Korean-Bilingual (HUGE Plus)
