CORE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Carrier Coordination

• Coordinate with planners and carrier to insure enough equipment is in the yard
• Assign trailers to pre-load loads to appropriate SCAC code
• Report to carrier damages or unusable condition of trailer
• Report to carrier and/or planners when loads are ready for pick-up
• Update from email changes in pick up date & time AND/OR changes on loading process (pre-load/live load) OR type of trailer

Cancellation request via email

• Locate appropriate load and mark the shipment order which needs to be cancelled
• Confirm cancellation in GWMS with reason code and description

   

  Out of system shipments

• Coordinate with inventory and shipping department to have correct inventory picked and have the correct shipping documents
• Double check the shipping documents

Shipping

• Shipment documentation: Coordinate with shipping desk to have the proper type of documentation printed and signed for specific customer and type of orders
• Update any compliance changes
• Knowledge of process and procedure for all compliance customers
• Oversee all picking lists are printed and sorted in date & time order
• Knowledge of TMS & GWMS
• Daily reports to update load planning

REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 1-2 years shipping clerical experience preferred
3. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
4. Basic computer skills
5. Knowledge of TMS and DMS systems
6. Ability to work effectively in team environment
7. Ability to work in fast paced environment
8. Ability to work overtime and weekends, when necessary
9. Good customer service skills
