    Distribution Center HR Manager Job Description

    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs.
    • Provide assistance, support and guidance to HR generalist in reviewing time and attendance system, payroll processing, and resolving pay-related issues.
    • Partner with leaders on employee performance issues, legal issues, or other significant actions that affect employees and the organization. Manage processes for performance improvement, terminations, harassment investigations, Fair & Equitable treatment, and other sensitive issues.
    • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for the assigned business units to achieve short and long term recruiting goals, plans and strategies. Understand market conditions for targeted sources and recommend distinct and cost-effective recruiting and compensation approaches to those markets.
    • Identify training needs for business units and partner with leadership team to develop individual development plans to support the organization’s succession planning program.
    • Conduct new hire on-boarding and process new hire paperwork including benefits enrollment.
    • Process leave of absence and maintain an effective tracking system (FMLA, disability, Military leave, etc.), and respond and process related paperwork for compliance.
    • Ensure consistent administration of HR policies and practices within the organization. Assist Leaders and employees in resolving benefits and policies related issues.
    • Maintain HR bulletin boards at all business units to ensure legal posters for compliance are up to date.
    • Respond timely to unemployment claims, and represent the company for unemployment hearings as needed.
    • Partner with leadership team and participate on safety related programs including timely reporting of work injury.
    • Conduct exit interviews and administer necessary termination paperwork.
    • Travel required to assigned business units on a regular basis and other locations as needed.
    • Perform other HR functions as required

    Requirements

    • Bilingual in English & Korean is required
    • BA/BS degree preferred in Human Resources or related area.
    • 7+ years’ experience as HR Generalist.
    • Industry/manufacturing knowledge.
    • Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
