    Job Description

    The Junior Corporate Counsel will support the INFICON Legal Department in providing legal counsel to INFICON’s business units worldwide. This will be a generalist role with initial focus on contract support and compliance responsibilities under the supervision of the General Counsel.

    _ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:_

    • Structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts between INFICON, its customers, and its suppliers, including technology, joint development, distribution, licensing, and marketing contracts.
    • Negotiation support will include second-line assistance to sales, marketing, product center, and other functional roles, as well as direct engagement with third party decision-makers.
    • Providing legal counsel to INFICON’s personnel with the goal of achieving business objectives while minimizing legal and commercial risks, including counsel on and resolution of issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
    • Developing and improving best practices policies to insulate INFICON from liability.
    • Collaborate with others and/or work independently to provide legal support for internal and customer-facing projects.
    • Overseeing the coordination and maintenance of records regarding due diligence and audit responsible functions regarding adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

    _ Other Duties and Responsibilities:_

    • Other generalist tasks will be assigned as needed. Future areas of growth may include labor & employment, data protection and privacy, litigation support, government contract specialization, corporate immigration, or more depending on interest, expertise, and company need.

    _ Qualifications:_

    • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States is required.
    • License to practice law in New York is required.
    • 1-3 years of legal experience is strongly preferred
    • Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts is preferred
    • Strong business acumen and practical problem-solving mindset
    • Ability to influence others without direct line management oversight.
    • Forward thinking mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects with increasing degrees of independence.

    Additional Information

    For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $100,000 per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
