    Job Description

    The Manufacturing Documentation Specialist is responsible for the creation and editing of the procedures used by the production floor technicians to build and test product as well assist in the creation and maintenance of the documentation for test and manufacturing fixturing in the Operations Engineering department. This individual will need to be a detailed-oriented individual who is an effective written communicator and can work and collaborate well with others.

    Essential Job Duties

    Specific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

    • Create and edit the procedures used by the production floor for the build and test of product
    • Incorporate video in existing and new procedures to help aid the production technicians in the understanding of the processes required during the build & test of product
    • Work with the production technicians in understanding the issues that our existing procedures have relative to content and work to develop a clear and more efficient way to convey the necessary information
    • Work collectively with the Operations Engineering team and the production technicians on developing the best manner to build & test product
    • Create schematics, 3D solid models and drawings for the test and assembly fixturing designed by the INFICON’s Manufacturing Engineering & Automation/Test Engineering teams
    • Work jointly on a near-daily basis with INFICON’s Manufacturing & Operations Engineering departments

    Education and/or Experience

    • Minimal requirement A.S. degree in an Engineering related field or equivalent
    • Demonstrated ability to clearly summarize information in written format
    • Demonstrated ability to read and create detailed schematics & drawings along with experience in 3D solid modeling
    • Demonstrated ability to easily learn new software tools and skills
    • Experience in high cleanliness, tight tolerance, and high mix manufacturing environments is preferred

    Additional Information

    For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $75,000 per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
