We are looking for a sustainability intern who is studying in Biology, Botany, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Restoration, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field to join our team. As part of the Green team, you will support the company by helping to further our 2023 sustainability goals.

Qualifications

Job Summary Overview:

• Will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to research, develop and implement various sustainability initiatives
• These initiatives include waste, water and energy reduction, as well as improving the biodiversity and green space at the East Syracuse campus
• Be an agent of change, working with a motivated team to realize our 2023 sustainability goals

Job Requirements:

• We are looking for a sustainability intern who is studying in Biology, Botany, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Restoration, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field to join our team. As part of the Green team, you will support the company by helping to further our 2023 sustainability goals.
• Familiarity with basic sustainability concepts
• Open to learning and being coached
• Must be able to take direction
• Must be be a self-starter and comfortable initiating conversation with new people, being diplomatic and seeking information wherever it may reside

Education Required/Licenses/Certifications/Skills:

• Enrolled in a technical program or accredited college pursuing a degree or certification in studying in Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Restoration, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field to join our team.
• Applicants who have graduated within 6 months from the start of the internship will also be considered
• Project management and lead experience is considered beneficial
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• Familiarity with graphic arts and video processing applications like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite desirable

Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
