    Job Title: TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATE/DRIVER

    Reports to: DIRECTOR OF SECURITY

    Hours: FULL-TIME

    Location: AUBURNDALE, FL

    Classification: NON-EXEMPT

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Transportation Associate/Driver is part of our Transportation and Security Team and is responsible for the safe and secure delivery of inventory to dispensaries across the state in compliance with Fl regulations. The Transportation Associate/Driver will also assist in security and delivery of product/inventory throughout our facility in Auburndale. A Transportation Associate/Driver must provide a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all staff, visitors, the general public, and the general community. This is a non-armed position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    ·       Loads delivery van and performs compliant transportation of product to vendors daily

    ·       Authorizes and monitors door access; authorizes, updates, and revokes staff access upon hire, for transfer, and upon termination of employment

    ·       Monitors facility cameras, alarm system, and daily operations to protect against and respond to internal and external threats to the Company, including theft and violence, fire, or accidents; escalates to management and/or emergency response as necessary

    ·       Performs shipping and receiving, including unpacking and distributing shipments to appropriate recipients and maintaining records of incoming shipments

    ·       Ensures all documentation of delivery manifests and incident reports is completed in a clear, accurate, and compliant manner, using standard forms

    ·       Conducts inspections of the property and premises on a regular basis

    ·       Performs escorts as needed

    ·       Engages with department managers, employees, vendors and drivers with professionalism; communicates and escalates issues to management as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    ·       Must be least 21 years of age

    ·       High school diploma or GED required

    ·       Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    ·       Must practice safe driving habits

    ·       Previous work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security preferred

    ·       Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work well on a team

    ·       Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and honest

    ·       Must possess excellent communication skills

    ·       Must be able to pass a background check as required by state regulations

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 10 hours
    • Ability to drive for a full shift for at least 10 hours
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
    • Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
    • Manual dexterity needed for data entry

     

    WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT

    • Warehouse and office environment with fluorescent lighting, no windows
    • Moderate background noise 
    • Frequent exposure to external weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow
    • Frequent exposure to cannabis odor; occasional exposure to product dust
