FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR trimming and processing cured cannabis. Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as edibles, concentrates, flower, and pre-rolls for medical and recreational sale. This person must exercise care to ensure products adhere to INSA’s quality control standards. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and conscientious.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Perform hand trimming of flower in accordance with Company standard operating procedures, including wearing all required PPE
• Manufacture pre-rolls for sale as needed
• Maintain compliance with state regulations by keeping flower separated according to batch and tag
• Maintain compliance with state regulations when logging weights and performing waste processes
• Maintain a meticulously clean environment including cleaning equipment and sanitizing work stations
• Meet and exceed daily and weekly weight goals set by department leadership
• Report any sub-optimal flower or deficiencies to department leadership
• Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as edibles, concentrates, flower, and pre-rolls for medical and recreational sale
• Responsible for operating a variety of automated sorting, batching, and packaging machinery
• Maintaining quality control by visually inspecting cannabis products and packaging to ensure consistency in product standards; ensuring labeling and product counts are accurate
• Inventory of cannabis products upon receipt and distribution to and from the department
• Assisting in the loading, unloading, and inventory of cannabis packaging, supplies and materials
• Adhering to production schedules
• Cleaning and sanitizing packaging areas

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior packaging and inventory experience a plus
• Experience using inventory software and Excel a plus
• High school diploma required
• Experience working in a production environment preferred
• Enjoyment of repetitive manual work
• Care and attention to detail in order to ensure product standards are met
• Focused on efficiency in order to meet production goals
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit and or stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Ability to use a step ladder
• Manual dexterity needed for manipulating hand tools
• Fine motor skills and ability to use hands and fingers to precisely and accurately fill, package, and label products
• Close visual acuity to read fine print on product labels and equipment screens

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse/production facility environment with environmental controls
• Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
• Exposure to keef/dust and cannabis odor
• Exposure to skin contact with plants, to which some individuals may be allergic
