    CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

    INTECON is seeking a full-time Strategic Planner.  This role will be onsite at Offutt AFB, NE to support the USSTRATCOM/J7 program.

    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  USSTRATCOM's global mission requires continuous exercise, training, and assessment support to enable USSTRATCOM to execute the overarching U.S. Department of Defense policy and provide global capabilities in support of national strategic, and tactical requirements.  Planning and execution of joint exercises, training, wargames, developing current and emerging training and exercise modeling and simulation, mission assessments, and education/organizational development programs are required to ensure USSTRATCOM and its components are prepared to accomplish their mission.  USSTRATCOM/J7 is responsible for planning and executing USSTRATCOM's Joint Exercise program, leading the Command's wargaming efforts, conducting independent operational and strategic assessments, managing the Command's Test and Integration Facility, developing current and emerging training and exercise modeling and simulation. USSTRATCOM/J14 leads the Command's joint education and organizational development programs.  Combined, these efforts are critical to providing the Commander decision-quality data and analysis resulting in improved mission execution and more efficient and effective leadership of assigned forces.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI), and Special Access Program (SAP) security accesses.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Strategic Planners must individually have 7+ years of CCMD experience.
    • At least one FTE must have Joint Strategic Planning System experience.

    Requisite personnel qualifications for all tasks:

    • Critical thinking skills, both qualitatively and quantitatively

    • Ability to prepare a well-grounded, defensible argument

    • Understand the interrelationships between domain of expertise and other domains

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

    • Familiarity with USSTRATCOM organization desired

    • At least two years experience conducting mission analysis, developing objectives, effects/measures.

    • Strong technical and analytical skills

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team of effectiveness, tasks/measures of performance, and indicators.

    • Have a mixture of experiences in the following areas:

      • Political science/international relations from a geopolitical perspective with a firm grasp of strategic and military risk
      • Three or more years of experience as an action officer with knowledge of Joint Staff and CCMD planning, staffing, and tasking processes
      • DoD operational and strategic assessment experience
      • Experience conducting mission analysis, developing objectives, effects/measures of effectiveness, tasks/measures of performance, and indicators.  
      • An advanced degree in International Relations or Comparative Politics is desirable.
