INTECON is seeking a full-time J3X Operations Integrator at SOCNORTH in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will serve as a future operations plans subject matter specialist providing insight and operational planning for SOCNORTH mission areas including cyber warfare and information operations.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Special Operations Command North (SOCNORTH), in partnership with the interagency and regional SOF, synchronizes operations against terrorist networks and their acquisition of weapons of mass destruction, irregular threats as listed in the National Defense Strategies (NDS), and to Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) in Mexico and Northern Caribbean, and when directed, employs fully capable SOF to defend the homeland in depth and respond to crisis. This PWS consists of providing Advisory & Assistance areas across four directorates at SOCNORTH. The services consist of Security Management Support; Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Analysis; Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analysis; Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Targeting Support; HUMINT Reports Manager; J3X Operations Integration; Non-Conventional Assisted Recovery Analysis (NAR); Common Operating Picture (COP)/Battle Tracking Analysis; Financial Improvement & Audit Readiness (FIAR) Support; and (BID OPTION) Operational Contract Support (OCS).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
INTECON is seeking a full-time Senior J3X Operations Integrator to support SOCNORTH at USNORTHCOM, in Colorado Springs, CO. This individual will provide expertise to facilitate Concepts of Operations (CONOP), Course of Action (COA) development, and other activities related to Advanced Special Operations (ASO), Preparation of the Environment (PE), Unconventional Warfare (UW), Non-Conventional Assisted Recovery (NAR)/Personnel Recovery (PR)/Search and Rescue (SAR), and other sensitive programs throughout the U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Assist the government in the development and coordination of sensitive activities projects, collection requests, and requests for information for assigned and/or deployed collectors focused on the USNORTHCOM AOR
- Provide COAs, analysis, recommendations and evaluation of reports and products developed by Special Operations personnel conducting HUMINT and other compartmentalized programs
- Coordinate, execute, attend, and participate in interagency committee meetings, conferences, and working groups for the coordination and de-confliction of operations affecting the USNORTHCOM AOR; provide written documentation of the meeting in a standardized meeting notes format
- Prepare briefs for Commander SOCNORTH (CDRSOCNORTH) that inform other Combatant Commands (COCOM), the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Intelligence Partners, and Congress on the capabilities, limitations, and value of ASO operations within the USNORTHCOM AOR
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the development and review of operational requirement taskings for ASO overt and controlled operations currently assigned in the AOR; this includes making recommendations on the prioritization of operational tasks and requirements for appropriate activities and incorporating tasks when additional requirements are received
- Facilitate the development of ODs, Ops, Operational Orders (OPORD), CONOPS, Contingency Plans (CONPLAN), Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) traffic, Coordination Elements cables, and other official communications for units Operational Control (OPCON) to assigned Command, to include input to all other documents pertinent to assigned countries.
- Provide expertise in support of HUMINT collection and HUMINT Operations Support programs
- Maintain knowledge of Joint Special Operations Forces (JSOF) doctrine; Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTPs); and mission profiles; and maintain knowledge of adversaries' methods of conducting operations
- Track SOF operations/sensitive activities that occur in foreign or domestic environments throughout the AOR and identify mitigation measures.
- Facilitate developing strategies for implementing collection requirements to integrate ASO into UW, PE, and NAR/PR/SAR operations in the AOR
- Facilitate discussions in intelligence collection meetings to satisfy long-range campaign plan recommendations
- Coordinate with SOCNORTH, other Geographic/Functional Combatant Commands, Interagency, and law enforcement partners to ensure they are aware of SOCNORTH J3X duties, roles, and responsibilities as they pertain to the USNORTHCOM AOR
- Expert knowledge of Military Decision Making Process and the Joint Planning Process

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access (TS/SCI)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree, 6 years' relevant work experience may be substituted for a college degree
- A minimum of 15 years Special Operations Force experience
MILITARY EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course (ASOT-C)
- Graduate of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Managers Course (ASOT-MC)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Subject matter expert with 10 years' experience in the development of CONOPS, and COAs, and other activities related to:
- Advanced Special Operations (ASO); Preparation of the Environment (PE); Unconventional Warfare (UW); NAR/Personnel Recovery (PR)/Search and Rescue (SAR); other USNORTHCOM AOR sensitive programs
- Experience leading the development and production of Theater SOF strategies, regional campaign plans, posture plans, and other policy, plans and program issues at the TSOC level
- Experience at planning, coordinating, and executing varied SOF Theater Security Cooperation activities and operations supporting SOF and Theater Campaigns
- Extensive knowledge of other TSOCs, USSOCOM, SOF Service Components and subordinate organizations and capabilities
- Previous experience as a member of a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC)
- 5 years' TSOC J3 / J5 experience (e.g., SOCSOUTH, SOCEUR, SOCAFRICA, SOCNORTH)
