Job Description:

Cardiac Neuro Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.

Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, revise, and delegate nursing care. Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements. Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice. Complete thorough neurological assessments to both conscious and unconscious patients. Manage emotional distress with family members.

Assist in end-of-life care.

Provide continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and intervention.

Initiate and titrate multiple, complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.

Manage intubated/mechanically ventilated patients. Manage patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events. Manage acute trauma patients. Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

2 yrs OF RECENT RN acute care experience required. Telemetry and Cardiac experience required

Current Florida State Registered Nurse license.

Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.

NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained.

Salary Range: $29.00 (2yr)- $32.70(5 yr)- $36.81(10yr)- $42.13 (17yr MAX)

Sign On: 10k; 2 Years commitment required.
