Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and certified CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The CT Technologist will play a vital role in performing computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of CT imaging technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
CT Imaging Procedures: Perform CT scans according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure the proper positioning of patients and adjust imaging parameters for optimal results.
Patient Care: Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and cooperation during CT scans. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and respond promptly.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with the appropriate personnel for repairs.
Image Quality Assurance: Review CT images to ensure quality and accuracy. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide additional imaging or repeat scans if necessary.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent certification from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as a Radiology Technician in New Jersey.
Demonstrated proficiency in operating radiology equipment and performing various imaging procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a clinical and/or hospital setting.
Additional certifications or specialized training in specific imaging modalities.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems like EPIC.
