JOB DESCRIPTION: Ensures that all AHMC facilities and associated support systems are structurally sound, operationally efficient, well-maintained, and safe by developing departmental policies and procedures for the Facilities Department which address these functions, establishing priorities for scheduled mechanical services and operations, administering preventive maintenance programs for all facilities, inspecting buildings and utility systems to determine repair or replacement needs, and managing the performance of emergency and routine maintenance on-campus facilities.

Qualifications
With a high school diploma, ten years of progressively responsible experience is required; with an Associate's degree, seven years of progressively responsible experience is required; with a Bachelor's degree, five years of progressively responsible experience is required
Experience must demonstrate the management of facilities operations including the installation, construction, and maintenance of equipment, utilities, and buildings, including control systems
Experience must include the supervision of skilled trades workers
EDUCATION: A high school diploma or the equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in a facilities-related or technology field, facilities management, project management, business management, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience must demonstrate the management of facilities operations including the installation, construction, and maintenance of equipment, utilities, and buildings, including control systems. Experience must include the supervision of skilled trades workers.
Experience in managing a successful preventive maintenance program, training in business management with an emphasis on budgeting, and working with organizational contracting agents to develop specifications and bid documents for goods and services is preferred.
Experience in the maintenance of facilities in a healthcare campus setting and a familiarity with construction and public access requirements concerning the disabled is preferred
