Job Description:

We are looking for an empathetic Radiation Therapist to be a member of our oncology team. You will specialize in the planning and execution of radiotherapy treatments.

To be successful in this role, you must work closely with patients and provide support to them throughout the process by determining their needs, answering questions, and providing the best medical care possible.

Responsibilities:

Immobilize and simulate treatment fields provided by treatment planning and Radiation Oncologist instructions.

Perform radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.

Prepares room and provides education to patients.

Review and maintain patient charts and keep accurate patient records.

Maintain continue education requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of radiography.

Radiologic Technologist Certification by the American Registry.

Active Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice.

Experience working as a radiation therapist.

Good technical skills.

Proficient in using medical imaging equipment.

Ability to think critically.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Outstanding hand-eye coordination.

Ability to empathize with patients while remaining professional.

Meticulous attention to detail.
