    We are seeking a proactive Systems Solutions Engineer contractor. Our ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our deployments and core engineering team and customers to design, implement and support cloud and on-premise systems solutions that meet our customers' needs.     Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Consult with client stakeholders in conjunction with Project Manager on deployment design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of on property room control and casting integrations along with deployment of various types of in room technology hardware
    • Perform on-site and remote integration engineering support and hardware deployment
    • Author and provide documentation of the deployed solution, various implementation strategies, custom solutions, and product capabilities
    • Setup new hardware onsite and ensure proper operating system and toolsets for platform deployment along with preparing required devices for onsite needs
    • Align efforts to the company's deployment schedule and standard operating procedures
    • Offer and support improvements, streamline approaches to projects, tasks and any technical problems
    • Provide exceptional customer service and comfortably interacting directly with clients, partners, and 3rd party vendors to meet deployment deadlines

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or 5 years experience in computer science, programmed IT infrastructure, or a related field, or relevant work history in technical deployment engineering or room control vendor roles

    • Proficient in Linux network configuration and administration in a headless Linux Server environment, including low-level configuration files and terminal usage

    • Demonstrated knowledge of routing, network equipment (firewalls, switches, wireless access points), and related technologies

    • Understanding of TCP/IP networking technologies, IP address management, DNS, and DHCP

    • Strong technical skills in networking, programming languages, Linux, and automation and scripting

    • Knowledge of programming languages used in software development, such as C, C++, C#, Python, NodeJS, or JavaScript

    • Proficient in reading, producing, proofreading, and editing software systems engineering documentation (requirements, design, test documents) using tools like Confluence

    • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, including presenting information and responding to questions from managers, peers, and customers

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex logical problems and solutions to team members

    • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and project managers

    • Ability to travel 50% of the time to various job sites and engage in direct customer-facing communications with our hotel customers. Travel schedules can be planned well in advance.

    • Strong Bonus: Experience working with room control vendors like Inncom, Control4, Lutron, or similar companies in hospitality or residential environments

    • Live in the Lower 48 United States

    • Multilingual capabilities (Spanish, French, etc.) a strong plus
