    FOR US TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST:

    • Be able to communicate complex concepts both written and verbal in English & Spanish and be comfortable presenting or speaking in large groups
    • Possess 3 + years’ experience working in Payroll, Benefits and Human Resources roles
    • Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Payroll & HRIS systems
    • Be honest, trustworthy, detail oriented, very organized and a team player
    • Have an adaptable nature to effectively and efficiently manage changes based on business demand and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Always exercise discretion & confidentiality and work productively in an environment with high levels of interruption.
    • Have knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment law, and safety of personnel and be comfortable with public
    • You should be skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, critical thinking, process control, time management, relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution
    • Demonstrate level headedness, attention to detail, orientation to quality, deductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, problem solving, social perception, skilled at decision making, and customer service.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accurately process on-time bi-weekly payroll, time-off requests, garnishments, manual checks, and pay adjustments.
    • Prepares and maintains employee records including, hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions, or rate changes, etc.
    • Conducts benefits meetings while interpreting and understanding company policies, procedures, state, and federal laws.
    • Performs routine audits to ensure benefit and payroll transactions are documented and processed per regulatory guidelines and company pay practices and policies and makes corrections where needed.
    • Administer compensation, benefits, and safety programs equally and consistently to be compliant with Federal and Local requirements including preparation and distribution of statements, notices, and reports.
    • Complete, verify, and process forms and documentation for the administration of benefits, such as 401(K) plans, medical insurance, leave management, (FMLA, LOA, disability claims), and COBRA.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date data in Human Resource Information system.
    • Conducts verification of employment, replies to unemployment claims, and other inquiries.
    • Assists employees with benefit administration, personnel, pay, and employment questions.
    • Assists with accurately preparing reports for employment, benefits, pay, audits, and other statistical data.
    • Assists with representing Management and Employee interests in a fair and just manner according to local and Federal laws and according to Company values and morals.
    • Stay up to date on applicable Employment Law, best practices, and seek assistance as needed.
    • Assists with reporting and investigating workplace accidents in a timely manner, document, analyze trends, and follow up on corrective actions, work status, employee appointments or open/closed status with the carrier.
    • Assists and participates in difficult staffing duties, such as conflict resolution, documenting and administering disciplinary procedures and termination of employees.
